What is Baradene’s Giving Week?

Baradene’s Giving Week is an online fundraising campaign, providing a week long opportunity for the Baradene community to support Baradene by donating to raise funds still needed to complete the fit out of Baradene’s new Gymnasium complex. #BaradeneGivingWeek

When is Baradene’s Giving Week?

Baradene’s Giving Week will start on Friday 14 June 2024 at 9.00 am and will conclude on Friday 21 June 2024 at 11.59 pm.

What does my donation support?

Your donation will be used to contribute to the purchase of equipment for Baradene’s new Gymnasium complex including:

  • Court equipment – posts, hoops, backboards, nets, dividing curtains
  • Fitness Centre equipment – for specialist fitness and sports training
  • Sports equipment – for athletics, archery, gym sports, volleyball, badminton, basketball, futsal, netball and other sports 
  • Audiovisual and electronics equipment
  • PA system
  • Cafeteria/kitchen equipment and furniture
  • Retractable bleachers

Why should I support Baradene’s Giving Week?

By donating to this campaign you will be playing your part in bringing the new Baradene gym complex to life. 

This equipment will complete the gym complex to create an exceptional sports and fitness facility for our students and a vibrant hub for our Baradene community. 

If you donate $1,000 or more to this campaign (whether in 2023, 2024 or combined over both years) you will have an opportunity to "leave a legacy" with a name displayed on a plaque in the gym. Extended families may wish to jointly "leave a legacy". If you donated $1,000 or more in 2023, we will contact you to confirm the name/s to be displayed on the plaque.

How do I make a donation?

Click on the "Make a gift" tab at the top of the page, select an amount and complete the details on the Donation Form.  

Or select the "Gym Fit out" tab on the main page to visit the Gym Fit out campaign page where you can read more about how the new gym complex will help our students. You can also donate directly from that page.  

Is my payment secure?

Yes, all payments are processed using a secure online Donation Form.

What can I do to help make Baradene’s Giving Week a success?

We would love you to show your support for Baradene’s Giving Week by donating to this great cause!
You can also spread the word and encourage others to donate.  Follow us on Facebook to join in conversations about #BaradeneGivingWeek and be part of this exciting campaign. 

Is the donation tax deductible? 

Yes, the Baradene College Foundation (known as Growing Heart) is a New Zealand registered charity. You will receive a Donation Receipt for your donation which will include all the necessary information for NZ tax purposes. Donations over $5.00 are tax deductible for eligible donors. 

Can anyone donate to Baradene’s Giving Week?

Yes, parents, grandparents and other family members, alumnae and friends of Baradene are all welcome to show their support for Baradene and donate to this campaign, so please encourage others to donate too.

Can I donate if I live outside of NZ?

Yes, the Donation Form should work for every donor regardless of where you are in the world.

What happens to my personal information?

Your personal information will be stored securely and only used by Baradene College and its affiliated organisations including the Baradene College Foundation known as Growing Heart for record keeping and communication purposes.
